Being poked by pin
4 Replies
Tamz - January 16

I get these pains that feel like someone is sticking me with a pin. Mostly in my back. It is painful for a few minutes and then slowly subsides to a trobbing sensation. Am I the only one and what could cause it. Is it a symptom of my Fibro?

I was reading on another site and she described on of the pains of fibro as voodoo doll pain, stabbing with a pin pain. so think its fibro related

I will get the same sensation any place on my body at any time and it's super annoying. Especially when it happens on the bottom of my foot while driving!! lol

I've tried to tell myself to just ignore it but I usually have to rub the area or it just gets worse.

My doctor confirmed that it is a symptom associated with my FM.

i get very similar pain, some in my neck area but mostly in my legs and feet...i have always blamed mine on FMS...and i talked to my doc and he said that most likely that is exactly what it is...so hope this helps you

Thank you everyone...I never thought of describing it like being stuck like a voodoo doll but that is a good way. It is so annoying esp when it happens while talking with someone. I will bring it up at my next doctor appt. I hate bringing up every little thing--it makes me feel like a hypocondriact...(SP).
