Anyone having problems going up the stairs
5 Replies

I have problems with going up the stairs and if I'm carying something, forget it, I go up the stairs in a zig-zag motion just to try to not fall flat on my face. Sometimes I can only go up the stairs if I'm on all four. After I go to the chiro I seem to be better balance and can go up the stairs will less zig-zag motion but it comes back the very next day?

That would be me. I have a terrible time on stairs. My sense of balance is affected so I hang onto the bannister for dear life. I also have a raging case of osteoarthitis in both knees which doesn't help. I avoid stairs wherever possible. Take care.

Hi Fantod, thanks for the info. I have no choice we have stairs at home, and I love my house, at least I get my husband or daughter to bring things up the stairs for me.

I tried training the cat, but no dice, he's not interested. lol

I don't have a sense of balance either, wonder if that's related to fibro, cause I have always had it, but to a lesser degree!

yes stairs seem to be worse for me too, it seems sometimes my depth perception is off so i hang on tightly. also my hips just dont like either.

I use the elevators at my college instead of the stairs.
