Hi! I'm new to the forum, but I have been reading posts for some time.

Like most of you, I was skeptical about my diagnosis immediately. I went to several doctors and even the Cleveland Clinic. The diagnosis was always the same.

I was prescribed Lyrica in the beginning, but every 6-8 months they would have to increase the dosage. It finally stopped working all together. When I went off Lyrica, I had an episode which lasted almost 5 months. It was the worst flare ever! Most days I couldn't even get out of bed.
I finally got better, not by anything that I did or the doctor did. It just got better on it's own.
I tried Cymbalta, but had really bad side effects. I stopped taking that and was on nothing except pain meds for 6 months or so. I am in a flare now and my doctor has put me on Savella. It's only been a little over 2 weeks, but I think it's helping.

Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to introduce myself.

The support from this forum is great!
