jadiegirlcat,
i think i might fall under partial disability, but not sure. after i rec'd my disability i got a letter about me being able to work so many hours for the first 3 yrs. i didn't quite understand it but if you call your social security office they will answer those questions. at least the ones around me were.

barbiedoll your father needs an atty. this is quite common. i to was denied 2 times and when i got a lawyer this totally changed. sad but it takes one. just find one that specializes in nothing but ssd. tc and i hope all goes well for your dad.

amber5,
this is due to your age but i do think that once u turn 18 it will go directly to u. maybe u have to be out of highschool as well. call your local social security office and find out, cause i'm sure there will be a form to be filled out. lol FORMS ALWAYS LOTS OF FORMS LOL

you want to hear something that i think is sad and i found very very agravating to me. my boyfriend has a son and at the time he was 6 my bf applied for disability for his son for having adhd. now this does not effect his daily routines and he takes meds for it but other than that it doesn't do anything to really disable him. he started to receive disability payments in about 2 months of filing... no atty involved. there i sat with pain, surgery, could no longer fuction in a daily routine, going to dr's upon drs, phyical therapy, injections, up all night with pain and on very strong narcotics and i kept getting denied. go figure lol yep i was jealous lol
