CAN YOU GAIN WEIGHT WHEN HAVING FIBROMYALGIA.

That has most certianly been my experience. At this point 35 pounds and creeping up.

My mother has gained lots of wait I think due to lots of other comounding factors, depression, pain, prescription drugs. A good diet can alleviate symptoms, try to avoid acidic diets.

The answer is yes this can happen. Some medicines that treat fibro can cause weight gain. You'll need to be careful and if you find yourself gaining to much bring it up to your doctor and medications might need to be tweeked.Or it could also be lack of exercise due to the pain of the condition and you'll need to work through the pain and keep going but at a pace that is tolerable for you.
