Hello everyone. I have constant hip and leg pain in my right leg. It just started about a week ago and really aches. I stand alot at work and this makes my legs seem to lock in one postion. Also I am experiencing pain in my lower abdomen off and on. Does anyone else have any of these symptoms? I really am tired of feeling so awful..

You might have bursitis in your hip. This is a common problem amnong people with Fibromyalgia (FMS). I'm one of the lucky ones, I have it in both shoulders and both hips.

I'd recommend that you see your doctor and get it checked out. Bursitis needs to be treated. Usually some physical therapy is needed. Make sure you tell the therapist that you have FMS so they don't have you doing something that will cause you even more evenmore pain. Even with proper treatment, it can be persistent (Exhibit A - me). If you like fresh pineapple, start eating it regularly. It has enzymes that help break up bursitis. Stay away from deep fried foods and lunchmeat (nitrates) as that type of food will really set it off. Take care and let us know the outcome.

Since you stand alot at work, ask them to give you an anti-fatigue carpet, and get some good supportive shoes. When standing try to walk around your station it can help you from trying to distribute your weight. As for the stomach that would also indicate you have improper stand, you might want to see a chiro to relief the pressure points.
