Can you help me locate or form an FMS support group in or near Johnson City, Tennessee?

I moved to West T.N. from Middle Tn. There is not even a Rheumatologist here except Memphis and one in Jackson. I went to the one in Jackson, and realized quickly, he did not treat FMS, although I was told on the phone he did. He did not take a history of my symptoms, or ask any questions. ( he took exrays)!! He did touch my arm. lol I was diagnosised in Nashville 1n 1995. The ONLY medication he gave me was cymalia or something similar to that spelling. It was for pain. I threw it in the trash. It did nothing for me. A support group is certainly needed, but doctors who treat FMS is needed in West TN. also. Good Luck

I believe the drug you are talking about Lane, is Cymbalta & it does not seem to be helping me either.

I do not know where Johnson city is but there is a support group in Martin Tn. contact Healthsouth Cane Creek Outpatient Facility. Also used to be one in Mckenzie at the hospital. I take guaifenesin for FMS. Go to guaidoc.com for info. Good luck.
