Hi all!! My name is Sunni. Going on 30. I have an almost 11 yr old autistic son and a 9 month old daughter. I have been suffering with what I guess is Fibro for many many many years. I have been taking Vicodin for about 10yrs and it really controls the pain but it's beginning to just not be enough. I go see the dr tomorrow because I just think it's going beyond the fibro. I also suffer from restless leg syndrome. You can imagine what I was like pregnant with my daughter and not being able to take anything for the pain. I have been on so many pain medications and nothing worked and then the doc gave me vicodin.. I am blabbing now but wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am waiting to get into a pain clinic so I can maybe get off of the vicodin. I have other problems as well. OK SHUTTING UP NOW!!!

Hi Sunni -- I believe you and your son actually have Lyme disease, a bacterial infection, generally gotten from the bite of an infected tick, and also can be passed transplacentally. Autism is one of its expressions in children. The bacteria inflame nerves and soft tissue. Go to www.lymenet.org/FlashDiscussion/MedicalQuestions and read up on it all there.
