Hello kswids- You did not say how long that you have been on Lyrica. Everyone feels loopy on a new medication and it can take a couple of weeks to adjust. If you are really feeling that uncomfortable you might want to call your doctor and discuss it. There is another drug called Savella which you could try in place of Lyrica. AS far as I know, it does not seem to have the problems with weight gain associated with Lyrica. Take care and let us know how we can help.

I have been on it for about 3 1/2 months already. I spoke with the doctor yesterday and he said for me to cut back to 100 mg. It didn't help before so I am sure it won't help again. I just want to get rid of this feeling. Do you think messages would help?

Massages are a good thing for fibromyalgia (FMS) but they are not going to solve your pain problem. You need to go in and see your doctor. Keep track of how you are feeling every day in writing - level of pain, grogginess, sadness etc. Write it down and take your notes with you.

Yes. Lyrica made me feel so out of it I was bumping into walls. In fact, over the years, I was diagnosed in 1987, I've tried just about everything they have out there. Without much success. Anti Depressents just make me more depressed no matter what new one they come up with. the only thing that helps, since I have problems falling asleep and staying asleep in klonapin and every since MJ's death my doctor doesn't want to Rx that drug. Been taking it for over 20 years, never increased the dose, can't survive without it since anxiety, which I suffer from, increases all symptoms of FM. Lyrica reacts on the nerves in the brain and I have not heard of anyone having any success. I'm sure there are some. I've heard of more success from Cymbalta but I can't take it. Friends say it helps relieve some of their pain.

I'm to fearful to try any new drugs at this time so I don't take it.

mimosette, I recently came to the conclusion I can't drink sweet tea anymore b/c of the adverse reaction I have. Has anyone else here found this to be true about drinking sweet tea? I wonder if it's the sugar, the caffeine or both. I don't overly sweeten my tea. Very odd but interesting.
