Find a good Rheumatologist in your area and a good GP that knows and treats this condition. Just make the phone calls and ask the right questions.

Hi Ginny! I am also a FMS sufferer and I live in Leesburg, Virginia. I was excited to see a post from someone in my area! I just wanted to let you know that NOVA Medical Group in Ashburn, VA is hosting a free seminar on Fibromyalgia on May 21st. The seminar requires pre-registration - you can e-mail them at marketing@novamedgroup.com to sign up. I am planning to go and I hope to find a local support group while I am there. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you find any other support groups in this area for your mom because I am very interested to attend. Thanks, Wendy
