I met someone at water therapy this past week. She too has FM. We were talking about different things. She mentioned her ears being very sensitive to sound. I said I occasionally have a problem, but there are times when my son or husband will be eating some type of chips, Doritos, or other crunchy food while watching TV and it DRIVES ME CRAZY. IT IS SOOOO LOUD THAT I JUST WANT TO SCREAM!!! She could relate to that completely. So any of you that have this - you are not alone!

I seem to be able to hear the smacking so much clearer and I have 80% hearing loss in my left ear. Not sure if it has anything to do with FMS or just the fact that we don't feel good as it is and other things are just getting on our nerves alot faster.

Yes! I want to slap people who smack while eating. (Don't you love how fibro can make you violent? lol)For me it's heavy breathers. My co-worker must have asthma or something and breathes loud like someone who is asleep. So now I bring headsets so I can drown out the sound. It makes me want to scream. Also beeping noises (cell phone beeps for messages) and clocks ticking drive me up the wall.
