I am nervous. I was told I could file for SS Disability and I have an interview today. I not only have FM, I have many other chronic back/bone problems. Just wanted some one to talk to for support.

I have applied for social security. I was turned down the first time and a second time. I now have hired a lawyer and have a hearing before a judge shortly.

i have applied for disability too and is waiting for an answer now. i hope you have a lawyer because you'll need one, but you can get it, good luck

good luck sharon. I wish you well. I have been fighting for ssd since december of 2007. I have been denied twice, have degenerative disc disease, spinal cord stimulator, ibs, failed back surgery syndorme, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis. I am on a list for a judge hearing, which can take up to 18 mos. I do have an attorney, but he really isn;t doing much. doctors, in boise idaho do not want to say, you can't work, they just keep telling you to come back in a month and they will try something else. the paperwork takes a long time, but the denial usually comes quickly. hmmm. good luck.
