Diagnosed with FM 4 years ago. Unable to work now.

It's been a year now that I have been unable to cope with the FM, chronic fatique syndrome, depression, anxiety, migrane headaches, ecezma, insomina. I've been on a variety of meds to help the depression, anxiety and insomina. I have tried supplements B complex, multivitamins, flax seed oil, fish oil and more. . . . after three weeks of taking these types of supplement I get so sick, dizzy, weak, shaky, severe nausea. I think I can handle the physical pain of all this. What I can't handle and need some support right now is what it's done to my mental and emotinal health.
Family get togethers are too much for me, physcially, mentally, and emotional. I live within minutes of my family . . . they don't want to hear that I can't make it to a function . . sometimes I force myself only to end up in a panic state that lasts for days and it leads to suicidal thought. I don't know who are what to turn to anymore . . I've exhausted all possibilities in the area I live in. I live in Massachusetts, in USA. I'm reaching out . . I'll travel to get the help . . if there is any out there.

Hi p767, I am sorry to hear about all you are going through. Family expectations can be very demanding especially when one comes from a tight knit family. Could it be that they do not understand your condition? I have learnt to time and again reinforce what FMS is all about. Sometimes they get it, sometimes they don't (the problem with having to deal with such an invisible condition). I don't know the workings in the USA but I hope that someone can post a comment that would be helpful to you. A light hug!Nimu
