I have tried to see a local Dr for this, was referred by my family Dr but was told by the rheumatologists' office that I could not be seen as my lab work was 'normal'. Am new to the USA, certainly to Arlington and DC and would greatly appreciate any help you could give.
Am trying to get pregnant as well, so, off of all meds since last August. Am growing very desperate. Alternative therapies are not covered by our plan, and so, out of the question, without me working.

I have FMS and all my blood tests are normal that is why they run the blood tests to rule out other problems such as thyroid as well as Lupus and other conditions. You may want to get another referral. Also to the left hand of this site is the menu you may want to look click on the link What is Fibromyalgia? there is information there about FMS and pregnancy. Thanks, Lynn. Yes, definitely need a different referral, but was looking for other peoples' doctors in the area- there are quacks everywhere and many Drs have already wasted enough of my time. Kind of looking ofr someone to give me the name of THEIR Doc, so as not to waste more precious time.
