Hello everyone, I have a personal question to ask. I have been on cymbalta for about 2 months, and am feeling pretty good. Mood improved and less overall pain. I am experiencing sexual side effects. Will these eventually go away or am I doomed to not thoroughly enjoy sex? Has anyone tried to add wellbutrin with any success?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Can you lower the dosage level just enough to relieve the side effects but still get the same benefits? I am extremely sensitive to the sexual side effects of medications. I've tried several medications such as Anafranil, Depakote, and Lexapro and even at low doses I can't tolerate the side effects. So now I'm only on 5mg of Lexapro. Even at 10mg I notice a difference.

Thanks for your reply. I am only on 30 mg of cymbalta...I might be able to go down to 20, I wonder if that would help? My aunt told me that if I am patient, in about a year that side effect should go away.

Cymbalta is known to cause a decrease in sex drive (known as libido). If you are taking it for fibro related pain, don't think you can lower the dosage, apparently the correct dosage is 60mg.

I've been on Cymbalta 60mg since last October and yes with time, I was able to regain, some sexual side affects. (Alas, not enough)!

What has really helped me, is taking Royal Jelly, there is this supplement that I take, and I swear it gives me the earning for wanting to have sex when I take a double dose.

It's called Ultra EnerForce ampoules 10ml, ingredients is: Vitamins B1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 12, Iron, Ginseng, Spirulina, Royal Jelly and Echinacean

Dosage is suppose to be 1 ampoule daily in a glass of juice or water, but I take 2 ampoules a day. It has helped me tremendously with energy and the sexual side affects.

Good luck to you
