pregablin and propranolol

Hi
was wondering if anyone is taking pregablin and propranolol.Was on Gabapentin and consultant has now changed to pregablin. Although i am male i am worried about excessive weight gain. Does anyone suffer from swolen blotchy hands as i have had.

Hi Wasfitonce, I am on Lyrica and Ihave swollen blotcy hands and sometimes my feet swell a little.I have gained some weight on it and thats the one thing I don't like but it has helped my pain and stiffness so much that I am going to start walking everyday like I use to if I can without bringing on a bad flare.Isn't the medication you are on the same kind as Lyrica.? Hope you are feeling better and maybe you won't gain too much weight. Even guys like to look good to, right?

Hi joegirl

Yes lyrica is the american name for pregablin, i got the tablets on friday and i am a little bit nervous of taking them as i put on a few pounds with the propranalol (an axiety supressant) I suppose if the pain decreases i can return to the gym.I have been trying yoga (slightly embarassed to admit) it hurt like hell the next day but the following day i did feel a little better.I probablies get a little paranoid with gaining weight as i have been the same for years until the fibro hit. I suppose guys like to look good to even though we dont admit it.
