odd skin sensations

Hi everyone. I have been on here looking at everyones comments for a year now. It has helped me out alot. Now I have a questions. Ongoing for a week now. Ongoing skin sensations one day it is in one place the next it has travelled to another part of my body. The only way I can describe this sensation is like a very bad sunburn, when u touch it it hurts. It is very sensitive just like a bad sunburn. Does anyone know what or have experienced this? Please reply if so.

Yes, it is probably nerve pain associated with Fibromyalgia (FMS). You should talk to your doctor about it. Gabapentin is usually prescribed to minimize the symptoms. Take care.

wow, Im so glad you asked that question, I just started getting that feeling last week and was wondering myself. Sorry I cant be help but, Im glad Im not going crazy, :-)

Hello.
It could also be shingles. I had that about two years ago. It was the weirdes thing. It started out as a burning sensation on my skin (hurt to touch). If you see whelps develop get to the doctor. If untreated you can have nerve damage which equates to more pain "As if you need more pain."
