Hi belle1329. Elbow pain is a big problem for me. I take regular vitamins with B, and then added a supreme stress b by lindberg and that helps the joints a great deal. My knees hurt as well and so do my feet after sitting awhile. I do not take meds, and have found that the drs. do not want to help me if I will not do that. Flare ups come and go, so I am not sure what to tell you there. The weather is a huge factor for me - humidity my worst enemy. That may be playing a part here. Follow your gut. If you think the doc does not care, find a new one. God bless!

Get another rheumotologist. You can go online to the National Fibromyalgia Association website and register. Then you can see a list of fibro-friendly healthcare professionals in your area. You could also call your local hospital physician referral service and ask them for a rheumotologist and/or a pain specialist with an interest in Fibromyalgia (FMS). There are certainly other theumotologists out there who will treat FMS properly and not require you to go see a "fibro specialist" for services that are not covered. I'm thinking out loud here, but I have to wonder if your current rheumy has a business relationship with this so-called specialist. As far as I am concerned, the rheumotologist is the fibro-specialist. You deserve better than that.
