Any advice would be much appreciated on this as I am not sure whether to have it done or not. Don't want to make things worse!

If yours goes anything like mine, I'll suggest taking any medications you're on for pain BEFORE your appointment... and enough before that they'll kick in before they start. I am usually pretty tender for 1-3 days after, but once everything settles down it's a good week worth of relief.
Now, granted, my case is pretty bad. I live with pain all day, every day, even with meds so you're after-effects could be less than mine.

Good luck!

I had this done last friday and was fine until today- Wednesday. Granted the weather is not cooperating. Every time the weather changes, my pain flares up and it's raining today, never a good day for me :(

I was wondering if anyone else thinks that maybe their symptoms are worse in the summer humidity than in the winter when the weather isn't changing all the time?
