I'm nowhere near menopause...I'm only 19...so I couldn't tell you much about the hormone replacement. But I asked my doctor for a vitamin D test a few months ago after doing some research about it, and I was severely deficient. I took 6,000-8,000 units of D a day and sat in the sun when I could, and my D levels came up to the optimal range in less than six weeks. I was disappointed that I didn't receive much noticable relief, but have heard other people who say that it did help them. I hope it does give you some relief! Best of luck!

Wow. I also got my blood work back last week and found that I too have low vitamin D. Mine was a 25. She said it was common for people with fibromyalgia. I am now on Vitamin D3.
