Upper Back pain

Hello...I am new to this group. I was diagnosed with fibro approx 6 years ago. It has been somewhat manageable since then. Three weeks ago I started having abdominal pain and went to the ER. They found kidney stones and spastic colon. I found out the stones should not be causing pain due to them being in the kidney. I went to my gastro doctor which then scheduled an endoscopy and found out I had alot of bile and acid in my stomach along with redness in esophagus and stomach. Ever since this problem, my upper back has been in pain. Today I have alot of pain and cant seem to get any relief from the heating pad or OTC pain medicine. Is there any suggestions on what I can try? I appreciate any advice. Thanks.

AngieB38, didn't your gastro doctor explain that the pain you are having is all about the spastic colon and the kidney stones, some of the pain, the rest is the endoscopy, actually I had that and yes, it was painful for a few days, nothing helps, and heating pad does absolutely nothing, try icing your back, He should have given you two kinds of medication, one to control the bile and the second when you have a spatic colon from eating rich foods and fast foods.

Stay away from all foods for a few days, everything mind get that one, I now know enough to return to simple diet of rice diet and clear broth soups. No nuts, no coffee, no chocolate, no artificial anything and absolutely no milk, or creams or cheeze. The soup is chicken base with rice and nothing else, eat it twice in a day, banana for breakfast, one toats, you can drink white tea cold or tempered.

I know it's hard, but it works, after a few days, start adding foods, but stay away from the creams, milks, the dairy and fast foods. You'll get better.
