Do people with FMS experience pain in fingers, wrists and hands, accompanied by weakness and/or swelling?

I can't speak for everyone, but I experience those things. Especially stiffness in my fingers and swelling.

I get that pain. Especially after doing small tasks like trying to sew. I get severe swelling after doing an activity that I am not used to doing. I work with my fingers everyday in factory work, so they are strong, but lately my hands have been hurting something feirce. Startingto think that I may have some nerve damage or carpal tunnel going on. Ahhhh yet another thing to add to my list for the doctors appointment.

i find i get all of those, but it is aggravated because i also have arthritis in my hands. some mornings i just can't move them, and the doctors tell me that some of the pain would be from the FMS

That is how mine started out. My left elbow started swelling, pain and it went down into my hand. Then the pain started spreading. I have the most pain in my arms. I could be doing nothing to aggrevate it and it just flares up. Gripping is not always possible. I find that I get some comfort by massaging my hands and using a heating pad. I also put blue menthol gel on the most irritated areas and that also helps. Nothing takes the pain away just makes it more tolerable. Take care and God bless!!
