One of the approaches to treating FMS is improving sleep. Waking up 66 times is ALOT. It can make you really sick. I would follow my doctor's suggestions. I have seeep apnea and woke up 44 times an hour. I could hardly function. I now use a CPAP machine to force air down my throat. I wish it could be as easy for me as taking some meds. Best of luck. Sleep deprivation is horible and dangerous.

I also had a sleep study with similar results. I was diagnosed with upper airway resistance. I had an oral appliance made by a dentist specializing in sleep disorders which definitely helped. Do you snore? I did but with the appliance I don't. Has your doctor suggested the CPAP or an appliance? I would check those before starting with meds. Good Luck!
