If I read one more article like this.... argh!

2-3 times per month, I'll go out on the web & see if there's anything new in Fibro research. I swear if I read one more article by some yahoo who doesn't live with this every day trying to assert that we hurt because we are either anxious or depressed. I offer for example, the following:

"Approximately 30% of patients with FMS have
major depression at the time of diagnosis."

You try telling an average of 4-7 doctors you hurt all the time & having them tell you there's nothing wrong & see how depressed you are by the time someone finally believes you!

"The lifetime prevalence of depression is
74% and that of anxiety disorder is 60%."

Anyone care to see if those bouts of depression and anxiety are side-effects of antidepressants they currently use for "treatment" before assuming it's causing our pain?

I'm so frustrated by the cycle of "pain caused by depression caused by pain." We'll never find a cure this way!
