At the age of 14 or 15 I developed severe headaches and jaw pain. I was missing 2 or more days from school a week because I just couldn't get out of bed. They gave me medication after medication and nothing helped. As I started getting more active in work and things like that the symptoms started going away, but now at 20, I've got a job behing a computer and I'm slowing down. I've started getting the headaches and jaw pain back and my shins and calfs ache so bad I cannot walk at times. I twitch all the time all over my body and my arms and legs go numb all the time. I've got horrible dry eyes and mouth, I have to urinate all the time. My stomach hurts a lot...the list just keeps going. Does anyone thing I may have fibromyalgia? If so, how do I tell my parents?

Hi there belle gosh you sound so like me its uncanny..lol.Listen your best bet is to be honest with your family and friends, you will find them to be understanding. To have this worry alone is a terrible thing and no matter what is causing your symptoms, its not your fault but does need to be sorted out,why suffer if you dont have to.
It does sound like its a possibility you have FMS but again Im no doctor and other things must be ruled out proir to making this dx.
If you feel uncomfortable talking to your close ones just yet,why not try to make an appointment at your local gp office and have a casual chat to them. They are the best people to see and can offer the best advie and put you in the right direction.
Hope this helps and please let us know how you get on.

I also have the same symptoms and more, Fibro. Started having problems at a young age also. Took years of doctor visits, but hopefully there is more education out there now! See a rheumatologist.
