Hello, I am getting blood tests next week for possible fybromyalgia. I think i read on a website that blood tests can't determine if you have it, they just rule out other possibilities. Is that true?

Blood tests can rule out Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis, but cannot diagnose Fibro. A qualified doctor, preferably a Rheumatologist, will do a full exam and can make the diagnosis. Hope this helps!

Did you know that "fibromyalgia" is an insurance invented disease invented to pacify the patient, where there is really another problem? I was diagnosed with "fibromyalgia" more than two years ago. Since then, I've developed lung disease, liver disease, thyroid disease and anemia...but the insurance company still says I have "fibromyalgia". All points to cancer. But a diagnosis of "fibromyalgia" has no treatment, so I don't get any treatment...I just continue to deteriorate.
More than one doctor has told me that this philosophy on "fibromyalgia" is correct.
Don't let the insurance company determine your quality of life...or death.

Debbi, my fibromyalgia was diagnosed by my doctor pressing on "trigger points" and it caused GREAT pain. He even gave me a letter stating that I have severe Fibromyalgia symptoms that requires close doctor monitoring and visits being controlled by medications for pain. How about that? That is how I got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I hope this helps you.
