Hello gohan2801 - Have you considered using homeopathic medicine to treat this problem? I am extremely sensitive to prescribed medication so I use a mix on conventional and holistic medicine to treat my FMS "perks." The homeopathic stuff usually works better for me than anything I get from the pharmacy. You will have to learn to think outside of the box when wrestling with FMS.
I'd see a functional medicine specialist if you can find one in your area. This is an MD with an interest in holistic medicine. Sometimes they are a DO. Look in the yellow pages under "holistic physicians." Just for kicks I googled your particular "perk" and came up with the following:
The remedies are listed by their latin name followed by their common name and the author of the official materia medica from which the information on their indicated uses was derived.
Bellis Perennis: (Boericke's) (Daisy) Acts upon the muscular fibers of the blood vessels. For relief of sore, bruised pain in pelvis.
Belladonna: (Boericke's) (Deadly Nightshade) For relief of incontinence and continuous dripping.
Benzoicum Acidum: (Boericke's) (Benzoic Acid) Relieves repulsive odor and color of urine. For relief of painful urination and dribbling.
Causticum: (Boericke's) (Hahnemann's Tinctura Acris Sine Kali) For relief of incontinence when coughing, sneezing or slightest excitement. Relieves incontinence during sleep. For loss of sensibility on passing urine.
Equisetum Hyemale: (Boericke's) (Scouring-rush) Principal action is on the bladder. A remedy for involuntary and painful urination. For relief of severe, dull pain and feeling of fullness in bladder not relieved by urinating. Frequent urging with severe pain at the close of urination. Urine flows only drop by drop. Sharp, burning, cutting pain in urethra while urinating. For relief of incontinence. For mucous in urine. For relief of deep pain in region of right kidney extending to lower abdomen with urgent desire to urinate. Right lumbar region painful.
Lycopodium Clavatum: (Boericke's) (Club Moss) For relief of pain in back before urinating. Urine ceases after flow, slow in coming and must strain. Relieves retention.
Passing of large volume of urine in a given period. Heavy red sediment.
Phosphorus: (Boericke's) (Phosphorus) For relief of inflamed and irritated mucous membranes. Clears urine from turbid, brown color and red sediment.
Plantago Major: (Boericke's) (Plantain) For relief of profuse flow and incontinence at night.
Rhus Aromatica: (Boericke's) (Fragrant Sumach) A powerful remedy especially for kidneys and bladder. Relieves severe pain at beginning or before urination. Relieves incontinence at night. Also for senile incontinence.
Sepia: (Boericke's) (Inky Juice of Cuttlefish) For relief of involuntary urination during sleep. For relief of red sand in urine. For relief of inflammation of urinary bladder. For relief of slow urination.
Causticum, Plantago Major, or Sepia seem to be the most likely candidates for you.
I am assuming that you have had a complete urinary tract work up to rule out infections etc.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.... Enjoy the holiday weekend.
