When I was first diagnosed with Fibro I was in constant pain- I think it had to with my job being stressful. I started a new job 3 yrs ago and have hardly had any pain. All of a sudden I have started having sharp pains around my neck and right shoulder. NOTHING helps the pain. I just started taking Cymbalta and I wonder if it is not causing my flare up to be worse. Anyone have any suggestions?? Also I am being treated for a sinus infection-does anyone ever feel like they have been beat up when they get a common cold like that???

I rather doubt that Cymbalta has anything to do with your neck and right shoulder pain. I would see an orthopedist and be checked for arthitis, frozen shoulder and/or bursitis.
Ask your doctor for the Flector pain patch. It is a patch that works only where it is applied. It does not get into your bloodstream so it won't interfere with anything else you may take for Fibromyalgia. I have degenerative disc disease in addition to a long list of other problems. The Flector patch has been a very helpful

With regards to sinus infections and colds, FMS is an auto immune disease. As such, it places a great deal of stress on the body. Anything additional even a simple cold is just adding insult to injury. I hope thaqt you feel better soon. Take care.
