I have been diagnosed with inattentive ADD, could it just be "fibro fog" you people speak of?

Symptoms of Fibro Fog generally include (but are not limited to): Mental confusion, Fuzzy thinking, Short-term memory loss, Inability to concentrate or pay attention, Language lapses.

Whereas inattentive ADD symptoms include (but are not limited to) excessive daydreaming, frequent complaints of being bored, appearing apathetic or unmotivated, appearing frequently sluggish or slow moving or appearing spacey or internally preoccupied —the classic "couch potato.

They may seem similar on the surface but are very different. I think in layman's terms, Fibro Fog (as the name would suggest) is like trying to see something you know is there but covered in fog, so you can't - which is a little different from feeling preoccupied or bored.

Therefore, to answer your question, I think it is possible, like most FMS symptoms, that Fibro Fog could be misdiagnosed as something like inattentive ADD.

Have you been diagnosed with Fibro? is the real question?

If the answer is yes, then you may have both, but very unlikely, therefore what you have is fibro fog, the fuzzy, loss and spaced out look you get when you forget why you went to the other room.

As for ADD, my hubby is a classic case, start something and leave everything to start something else, and I find half projects all over the house. This would include, start supper, forget the dishes and ignore it all.

As of I can do supper and will eventually clean up my mess, depending if I'm tired. Different.
