Embarrassing...anal/vaginal itching burning

Wondering if any other ladies out there have or have had intense anal/genital itching and burning. I am 47. My OB/GYN said exam and vaginal culture for yeast were normal. But I have had a maddening itch which burns after scratching in the entire area. It's scary to search the Internet because some things sound very worrisome. I think it could be due at least in part to my terrible anxiety, but thought I would ask: are these type of symptoms associated with fibro at all?

Are you the Overly Acidic Version of Fibromyalgia?
(Have heart burn or Saliva pH is lower than 7.4?)

Then it could be acidy perspiration / acidy clear lubrication, etc.

Try this trick. Put baking soda in water and drink. Also put some baking soda in a bowl of water, moisten wash cloth and wipe the area that is itching.

Look up FibroFix on google All free site tells how to test, diagnose and successfully relieve all symptoms of Fibromyalgia on a daily business.

Yes. How embarassing. I've had this problem for a while now and have tried vagisil and hemmrhoid creams. I had the best luck with a hydrocortisone cream. I plan on asking my ob/gyn about this.

Same thing here, comes and goes, worst after having relationship with hubby. Now have creme to help with intercourse and seem to go on off with treatments of ph being imbalance. I found that if I drink loads of water it seems the ph goes back to normal?

Yes, and it's quite annoying, especially at work. I think at least part of my problem is dryness, thanks to the frequent trips to the ladies room and being unable to tolerate any sweat down there. I'm cutting down on the hot baths and liners, since they seem to make it worse.

yes me .. am plagued withit .. just because he said your yeast cultures are normal doesnt mean they are .. they do one type of test .. its not enough ..
try to cut out all bread wheat etc and limit your sugar intake ..
plus ide recommend aloe vera gel .. and eat a clove of garlic a day raw .. just cut it up and swallow it with water like a pill ..
tea tree oil and lavender oil in your bath might help .. and i know it sounds odd but wear a long skirt and no underwear as often as possible .. get some air in there .. i hope it helps .. you have what i had and still get ..

Have you tried vaginal estrogen cream? Rosie O'Donnell gave an interview recently where she mentioned the same thing. (Same age too!) where she said she liked having an older friend like Madonna who is going thru peri ahead of her. She said Madonna told her "get the cream!"

Talk to your doc?

Does anyone else suffer from tail bone pain and rectal pain and spasms from fibromyalgia, or should I be concerned it may be something else. I recently have been diagnosed with FM but have had the symptoms for many years, just in denial if you know what I mean. Please help! Thank you!!

Hi FibroGal

Bacterial Vaginosis almost anything can give you the itch.
Did you change your laundry detergent, when washing the undies, make sure that you use an extra rinse to make sure to soap is left on your clothes.

Tampons & liners & douching are a no no. Maybe you have a new sexual partner? if yes, it may be him, giving you the extra itch, especially if your man does not hydrate well.

A couple of things for you drinking plenty of water or cranberry juice will help with the itching, that an eating yogourt, it helps with keeping the good candida fighting the bad ones.

Have you been using too many over the counter vaginal yeast infection creams, if yes, then what you have is a reacurring infection, that can be cleared through drinking cranberry juice, water, and eating yogourt twice a day. Maybe you would like to try gel when you have intercourse, this should help you, keep it clean. At night when the itch is too much, you wipe yourself with plain yogourt, it helps with the keeping your ph level balance.

Believe me I had the same problems and I actually cleared it by wiping with yogourt and taking yogourt pills and drinking watered down cranberry juice for about ten days. It cleared everything, now I use gel when I have a relationship with hubby and it keeps away the dryness.

Good luck to you and let us know what worked for you.
