There is a new time released pill called Ultram ER. I haven't tried it yet but I am a fan of Ultram. I will ask for it on my next script. I currently use ultracet and that is used a lot for fibromyalgia. Ultracet has the same ingredients as Ultram (tramodol). Google ultracet and you will find great info on it. Good luck.

I had just the opposite experence with Ultram! It was no help at all! I could have taken Tylenol and got the same results. Ultram is not a narcotic. It is a synthetic man-made med that is suppost to work on the same receptors as a opiate narcotic. There are several extended release nacotics out there. Oxy Cotin seems to work the best for a lot of us, but it is very expensive! I seem to be doing better on an extended release morphine, I am not aware of a narcotic drug that starts with a K.This site has a very helpful section on meds.

Ultram worked for me for about a month, but now is pretty useless. Oxycodoin or Percot are my pain relievers of choice, but Fed just killed Percocet.

Yes oxycodone is what oxycontin is made from. Percocet is oxycodone plus tylenol. Hydrocodone is not dispensed except with another non-narcotic ingredient usually tylenol. I take Norco 10/325. It has twice the hydrocodone of vicodin, much smaller pill to swallow and it has half the amount of tylenol which is what will kill you in an overdose...the tylenol...not the opiate. But thanks to Michael Jackson...my doctor has stopped prescribing narcotics and after 9 years I have to go though this shit all over again. I just moved to Escondido, CA. Can anyone suggest a doctor that won't label me "drug seeking". Suicide sometimes seems like an answer but luckily that goes away. I'm tired of needlessly being in pain because doctors are afraid I'll become addicted. I am dependent yet but I take it as prescribed and don't get a buzz, just relief. We need to join together or they['re going to stop prescribing narcotics to anyone they can't validate pain with an xray or mri. I know. I just got approved for Social Security Disability but after breast cancer and a cardiac arrest but I'm okay now except for the pain of FM.

There is no opioid narcotic pain reliever that starts with a "K". The only narcotic that I know of that states with a "K" is Ketamine.
