hi all new to the forum, due to see a consultant about what my gp suspects to be fm. i have horrendous pain in trapezium area of shoulders which then radiates up the neck into my head and over and in my eyes giving me all but daily headaches. i find having anxiety too cranks up the pain esp when im exposed to even small amounts of stress. my gp has prescribed alsorts over the years now on 1800mg of gabapentin a day which still doesnt take the edge off it. recently have had a very sore painful red watery eye saw an eye specialist today he eliminated other causes allergies etc but asked me if i had arthritis i said no and told him of my referral to the fm clinic. sorry to waffle on but is anyone having a similar experience? appreciate any views or advice on it!
thanks marty66

Marty66 welcome to the forum! Have you tryed any myofacial release on your shoulder area? You are probably very tight and have knots built up that are causing the problems with the eye. Also have you tryed taking Topamax for the headaches. I use to get real bad migraines (which by your discription is what your having) and my neurologist had me taking this twice a day. I take one in the morning and one at night and now I hardley ever get a headache or a migraine. Hope I was of some help. Take care.
