You need to find a competent allergy and sinus doctor to address your chronic complaint in that department. If you are on antibiotics frequently, that is part of the problem too. Call your local hospital physician referral service and ask them the name of their top allergy specialist and then make an appointment.

I have a rheumatologist and have tried several of the things above. They all make me very sleepy and emotionless. I don't like to feel not like myself. I also have an ear nose throat doctor. I've had two sinus surgeries in the past three years and my dentist is a family member. I haven't had a cavity in 21 years. I have read that guaffinessin can be beneficial to fibro. It's not a good idea to mix some antihistimines with muscle relaxers and/or pain medication. I do set a good example for my kids. I'm the only parent they have. They don't see their dad at all. I was just asking if maybe someone knew something that I didn't with the antihistimine that is in the cough medicine. I can't take anything during the day that makes me drowsy because I am driving a lot. I am looking for one medication I can take at night that will help me with fibro, pain, and allergy relief. I am also diabetic and cannot take some nose sprays or anything that has cortisone in it. I rely on sinu rinses during the day. Like I said, I just wondered if anyone had the fibro and allergy problems and maybe there is something out there that can help the two at one time. I am a little sensitive to the "good example" statement. I know you mean well, but we lived with a mean drunk for too long so I am used to being cautious and the responsible one. This is just like everything else. I have doctors and listen to them I just usually have to use my own head and figure things out for myself. I would much rather take one dose of something long lasting at night than take several things during the day. Mixing is never a good idea.
