Hi Hunny: Most doctors start you with antidepressants. Some are addictive and to me the best bet is to see a professional who knows these drugs the best and I recommend a psychiatrist. That is their specialty and they can monitor and get you off the drug if it is not for you very quickly. Other medication is Flexeril, a muscle relaxer and it does help in relieving some of the pain and stiffness which occurs. Sometimes if you are having really bad spasms they try klonipin, neurotn, anti siezure drugs. There are also botox injections which I refused the cost is rediculous and you have to continue with the treatment every so often. There is another med called keppra another anti siezure medication for muscle spasms. All and all you will have to work out with your doctor the best treatment option that will work best for you. It may take some time so try to be patient.

Try hydrocodone 10/500 and soma 325 mg both 3-4 times a day. antidepressants made me depressed! so stay away from those.
