Hi. I have tried Lyrica for my pain, but it only made me feel like I couldn't move without the room moving with me, so I had to quit taking it. I went back to my doc, and he just looked at me very exasperated and said to go home and take tylenol and get on with my life...great....Any thoughts on something for the pain and the sadness?

First of all, you need another doctor. If he is exasperated by a patient who can not tolerate a medication than you don't need to treated by him. Tylenol is not effective for treating Fibromyalgia (FMS). Only certain classes of prescribed medications work and he should know that. And, prolonged use of Tylenol may cause liver damage.

Savella is new the the US market but has been used in Europe for decades. This is the newest medication used to treat FMS. Most rheumotologists have 2 week trial packs to try. Good luck and take care.
