Hi, I have a question about purchasing pain meds online. Our insurance just ended on 4-1-07 because my husand has been out of work (workers comp). I was diagnosed about 2 years ago with with fibromyalgia and prescribed various pain meds. I was taking Hydrocodone until it seems to no longer be working. I was taking 4-5 10 mg/day and asked if my dr would just chnage the meds. He did. I have a prescription in hand now for Oxycodone 10/325 and just found that it will cost me almost 90.00 for 60 tbs. I WAS SHOCKED! WE've alays had BCBS and paid a co-pay. I have ben looking at online pharmacies and hav never used anything other than Medco. I don't know where to start or if there legit. What can I do? Any suggestions???? Thank you.

Hello 2bfree. I am new to this forum & just read your question. I have had Fibro for many years and was granted disability in 1998. I have been able to get a lot of my meds free from the manufacturer. Most mfg.'s have a patient assistance program and allow you to have an income up to approx. $30,000 annually to be eligible to participate. You can get the name of the mfg. of the drug, call their 800 number and ask them. They are usually very helpful and give good advice. If I can help further, please let me know. God Bless! Peg
