Fibromyalgia pain medications

I am unable to use ibuprofen because before I was diagnosed with fms, i was told to take 800 3x daily and it severely hurt my insides. Am i a candidate for stronger meds?

Hi,
Who gave you the diagnosis for fibro. If it was a doctor go to a rhemy first. They can get you on the right track for meds that won't bother your tummy.

My doctor finally doagnosed my fibromyalgia and has prescribed Elavil for my pain. He said it takes a couple of weeks to see if it will work so I will let you know. I was taking 500mg naproxen sodium twice a day and it didn't seem to help when I had really bad pains.
