My father is Celiac. I'm Fibro. (Most folks I know with fibro have hormone stuff going on.) I've tested neg x 2 for Celiac, but sisters are being told to stay away from gluten due to sensitivity. I am trying to find out what, if anything, to do about diet. It seems such a radical thing to do if I do not need to, and it seems difficult to obtain good info. I did see a University study was occuring that had something to do w/ digestion and fibro. on a fibro website. Good luck.

Found out I'm allergic to wheat. My IBS is all but gone since I cut out all wheat, most gluten. But I still hurt and I'm still tired..and all the rest.

I also have a wheat allergy and milk. When I eat less wheat (because I don't have the willpower to completely cut it out) my IBS also clears up, but I also have similar experiences as Wendy in that I still hurt, am tierd, etc.

I have stopped dairy, that has stopped the intolerance symptoms. Even then there is some bloating after meals. I am trying to go gluten-free.

I have both conditions. I have had celiac spru all of my life. Gluten ( Wheat the main culprit) The fibro started as back aches in my late twenties, than chest pain a decade later, now all the classic triggers, sometimes moving from point to point during the course of my day. I find that my cycles are closely related to stress and weather. I live in the desert southwest. The hot dry weather here is when I feel the best.
