Title of Question:
prednisolone
Question:
I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and my doctor had to recently prescribe me prednisolone. After I felt immensely better he said that it shouldn't have worked and is again running tests for RA factors in my blood. My question is...has anyone ever taken prednisolone and felt relief?
?

Answer:
Interesting post here, since I think fibromyalgia is actually Lyme disease, a bacterial infection. Ususally Lyme folks do not do better on steroids, since steroids depress the immune system. I just looked up prednisolone and read that it helps the adrenals. Now, folks with Lyme are low in all hormones, and there is always a lot of discussion about what to do to support the hormonal system.. If you're at all curious about looking at Lyme disease, which has the same symptoms as fibromyalgia, go read at www.lymenet.org/FlashDiscussion/Medicalquestions. You can post questions there and people will answer. You can also do a search on any topic. You could search for the drug you are taking, as well as for hormone discussions. People get tested for Lyme disease mainly through the Igenex lab(www.Igenex.com)
