Question: one of my doctors put me on 75 mg once a day of lyrica, then up to 150 mg daily in 2 weeks, but everything I've read in the medication insert says it should be taken in divided doses like starting at 75 mg twice a day and then doubled a week or two after that. I'm thinking that this particular Dr doesn't know what he's doing in treating fibro. What are the doses other people are taking so I know if my Dr knows what he's doing? ?

Answer: I started Lyrica 30 days ago at 150 mgs, (75 am and 75 pm). Went up to 300 mgs after 7 days (150 am and 150 pm) . Went up to 400 mgs. after 14 days, then 450 mgs. after 21 days. I haven't had any nasty side effects, except for extreme thirst, which I hear subsides, and feeling bloated lately. I feel that it is working some, as I don't have such severe tingling/numbness/ pain in my legs and feet. =

Answer: i take 600mg a day 300 in the am and 300 in the pm. haven't had any side effects other than not taking it once for about a week and felt like i was on fire which is why you're not suppose to stop taking it suddenly, it doesn't help with the pain, but it does give me energ, good luck =
