Tell her how much you love her and continue finding doctors that will listen and care for her.

I believe this is Lyme disease, a bacterial infection usually transmitted by a tick bite. All the symptoms that you describe sound like it. Please go read at http://flash.lymenet.org. Folks there can help you find a knowledgeable Lyme-treating doctor in your area if you would like to consult with one.

Michelle I am very disappointed to read Robin continued Spam post above, people diagnosed with FM are mot likely to have FM, believe the diagnosis and most of all be well read and aware of what she could be goiung through.

I have twice suffered episodes of chest pain with FM and twice been x-rayed for and heart problems and be cleared. I would suggest as a matter of course any chest pain be treated as suspicious until clinicaly proven otherwise.

It is very disappointing for her to be suffering so badly at her age but even though she is the best plan of attack I can advise is she is suffering a lot of physical injuries at the moment and those need to heal before she will make any progress, So complete bed rest is what I recommend and any surgeries for her knees asrequired. This will be conterproductive to knock on sideaffects of CFS/ME but you can treat that seperately and much more easily afterwards. Chin up. Gavin
