Name: sheLL Title of Question: Shoulder blade/rib pain?

Question: Hi I was newly diagnosed in Sept 07... I am on this journey of fibro-waxing and waning symptoms...hooray! I was wondering if any of you ever have sharp achy pain under a shoulder blade??It comes out of nowhere and can hurt for minutes or days at a time. It is under left shoulder blade (always) and extends around under armpit to breastbone (sometimes) It doesnt sound like typical costochondritis as mentioned here in other posts.. Rheumy says it's due to trigger point -referred pain. It isnt really tender but hurts to breathe deep sometimes. It scares me at times to the point of an anxiety attack. I always panic that it's my heart. I do have heart murmur-it has been checked also and cardiologist says it's your basic MVP. Was wondering if it could be related to heart murmur....Dysautonomia? A friend mentioned it could be myfascial? Also, I know it isnt related to gall bladder or anything of that sort--been tested for all that of course it was normal! It helps me a lot to read all the posts here and realize that I am not crazy!!! Matter of fact, I've been suffering for 4 years until diagnosis in Sept 07 and this is the first time I've posted.
