Name: lrcarlson Title of Question: Paxil experiences?

Question: My doctor prescribed me Paxil but I haven't started taking it because I have read about negative side-effects. I have not been diagnosed with fibro yet, but my neurologist has talked to me about it. I was just wondering if Paxil seems to help with the symptoms of fibro and if it causes weight gain, anxiety, fatigue, or sexual dysfunction. Thanks for the help! ?

Answer: I haven't been diagnosed but have an appointment with a specialist soon. I also was told about Paxil from a friend. She told me it was a miracle to her. Did you find it helped? =

Answer: I have been taking Paxil for 2 years. I did gain weight for awhile but I am losing it and it's WONDERFUL for depression and anxiety. Of course, you have to remember there are things YOU have to do to cure those symptoms also. I will warn, it's a hassle trying to go off of it.....someday i will.... =
