Answer: there are different extremes with fibromyalgia. There are certain things that can be done to help, proper diet, exercise, and expect to be very supportive. My mother has it and was a very actuve person as i was groing up I mean you couldn't slow her down then about 9-10 years ago things changed and she requires a lot more support. If you love her then you'll be there through thick and thin. Understaning and compassion will help the situation. try to avoid having them take the pills as much as possible and deal with it naturally. =

Answer: Hi, You are right. prolonged use of medications can be very hard on your digestive system. If you take some meds to long they can cause other problems too. Some meds haveeven been known to casue ulcers after long use. I dead with it the best I can. Somedays are better than others. When I hurt too much I have a pain meds on hand but I only take them when my fibro is at its worst. God bless and take care, =

I am still un married at 49 because I have had this disease since I was 21 years old, and no one has been able to cope with the insomnia and major fatigue and pain that I deal with. So I wish you the best of luck, just be really patient. loving and understanding and all will be good =
