Question: Daughter with the syndrome...No one the the family has it. How to find out information to help support her without sufficatating her. ?

Answer: Information is power. Try to be there for her, just listen. She will have bad days & may lash out at you without meaning to. There is more information on here under general discussion. I am sorry you both have to go through this. She needs to learn ways to cope/adjust to this condition so it is liveable. Don't overdo it, weather changes affect it, etc. I think it is great you are seeking the info to help support her. She is lucky to have a loving & caring mom. Good luck to you! =

Answer: I too agree with Joni. Find out all you can about Fibromyalgia, Myofascial Pain Syndrome and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Hoping you have her under a good doctor who treats this condition. There are medications that are used to help alleiviate some of the symptoms. Also keep moving and stretching exercises every day don't give up on it but go slow and work up to her limits as time goes on the limits might become more. It is not a crippling or life thretening illness it is just an intolerable illness. Educate other family members as well. Support is great...Take Care. =
