I have been in a drug study for Milnaciprin for the past two years. It seemed to help, but I wasn't totally convinced until I had to go off it when that particular part of the study ended. I found out that it did indeed help, if only putting a lid on the pain, fatigue and most of the other issues that go along with Fibro. Two months later I was allowed to go back on it, and even though there are times that I feel horrible, I figure that it would be even worse without the Milnaciprin. I took Lyrica and the other drug that was advertised (fibro fog is rolling in!) but stopped taking both of them because of side effects. The only issue I may have with the Milnaciprin is sudden high blood pressure, when my BP was usually abnormally low. I now have to take medication to lower it. The drug study results are with the FDA now for approval, which is supposed to be sometime in Oct. 2008. I would imagine that if it gets the OK we will be flooded with advertising for it. Hopefully there are some people at the FDA who struggle with this issue also and who would understand what even a little relief means. | |
