Name: hellou Title of Question: Adrenal function test can anyone help?

Question: Hi I am due to have an adrenal gland function test next week. They take a blood sample and then give you an injection to stimulate the adrenal glands and then take another sample to see if there has been any change in function. I am keen to have this done in case it turns out that I do have adrenal gland problem alongside FMS however I am really frightened that it might trigger off a reaction or a flare up. None of the medical professionals seem to be able to shed any light. If anyone else has had this done I would love to hear from you so that I can make a decision. The test is scheduled for Tues am and is called a short synacthen ot ACTH test. many thanks ?
